Perhitungan ini didasarkan pada suhu rata-rata serta rasio lama penyinaran matahari terhadap lama siang hari. Karena kesederhanaannya, metode ini banyak digunakan dalam perencanaan irigasi, analisis neraca air, dan pengelolaan sumber daya air. Terutama, metode ini cocok untuk daerah dengan keterbatasan data meteorologi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-aplikasi-metode-blaney-criddle\">Aplikasi Metode Blaney-Criddle<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dalam perencanaan irigasi, metode ini menghitung kebutuhan air tanaman berdasarkan evapotranspirasi potensial. Hasilnya digunakan untuk menentukan jumlah air yang harus disuplai melalui sistem irigasi. Dengan demikian, tanaman tetap mendapatkan air yang cukup untuk tumbuh optimal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selain itu, metode Blaney-Criddle membantu memperkirakan kehilangan air akibat evapotranspirasi dalam analisis neraca air.
